Home Delivered Meals
For someone aged 60 and above, the Home Delivered Meals program is designed with you in mind. We provide more than just a nourishing meal; we deliver companionship right to your doorstep. These hot, nutritious meals, brought to you during lunch hours, are a valuable support for individuals who may face challenges in leaving their homes, preparing meals, or lack a caregiver to ensure they receive well-balanced nutrition.
How Do Meal Services Work and Am I Eligible?
- At PAA, we prioritize your well-being. Our first step is conducting a personalized assessment to determine your eligibility and specific dietary needs.
- Dedicated volunteers deliver freshly prepared meals right to your doorstep every Monday to Friday, between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
- Federal, state and local dollars help fund the program. Additional money is provided by contributions from concerned individuals or groups. Because of the funding and generous donations we receive, there is no charge for this service.
The Home Delivered Meals program, caters to individuals aged 60 and above, offering not only a nourishing meal but also companionship. Eligibility requirements are as follows:
- 60 years of age and over
- Individuals who are unable to leave their homes
- No other available means of obtaining
food - Face challenges in meal preparation
- Lack support from family or a caregiver to provide well-balanced meals.
Dining Clubs
At PAA, we recognize the value of enjoying a meal and engaging in conversation with others. Being part of the Dining Club program not only allows you to socialize but also provides opportunities to enhance your well-being through lifestyle improvements, education, and programs offered at the Dining Centers.
PAAโs transportation program can also assist with rides to and from Dining Clubs when available.

Subaru of America, Inc. 2024 Share the Love Event
The Peninsula Agency on Aging is honored to once again participate in the Subaru of America, Inc.โs annual Share the Love Event to help raise critical funds needed to support older adults who live on the Virginia Peninsula. Funds received from this event by PAA has assisted in serving approximately 400 meals a day to isolated, older adults. When you buy or lease a new Subaru this holiday season, we hope youโll choose Meals on Wheels as the recipient of a $300 donation. Since 2008, Subaruโs Share the Love Event has helped deliver more than 4.6 million meals to older adults served by Meals on Wheels.
