The Peninsula Agency on Aging is directed “by leaders in the community who have the respect, capacity and authority necessary to convene all interested persons, access needs, design solutions, track overall success, stimulate change and plan community responses for the present and for the future” [45 CFR 1321.53(10)].

Appointment Process

Eight board members are appointed by local governing bodies, one representative from Riverside Health System, the Chair of the Advisory Council, the Chair of the PAA Endowment Foundation, the President & CEO of the PAA, Inc. serves as an ex-officio, non-voting member. Additionally, at its discretion, the Board may appoint a member with financial expertise, a member with housing and real estate expertise, and an attorney.

Meetings

The Board meets the third Wednesday of November, January, March, May, July and September.
