Assistive Technology Lab
The Assistive Technology Lab Program helps older adults and their caregivers enhance daily living, safety, and independence through the use of supportive devices. Offered by the Peninsula Agency on Aging (PAA) and funded through a grant from the Bernadine Franciscan Sisters Foundation, the program provides free assistive devices to eligible individuals in the Virginia Peninsula region.
The program focuses on improving quality of life for adults aged 60 and older, individuals with dementia or memory loss, and caregivers who support them. The Assistive Technology Lab features a range of tools designed to address common challenges related to dementia care, mobility, and personal care
